The Mate range offers an economical alternative to Decagon/Octagon/ Hexagon range and still provides performance in all requirements for the potter while appealing to diversified uses in glassware activities.

The Mate is top loading and derives its insulation from insulation bricks that fully surround the interior of the kiln.  It is wrapped using  0.9 mm  stainless steel for both body and lid and incorporates a floating lid to compensate for natural expansion during the firing process.

Mate 6.9 - $4,761.00    &    5.3 - $4,623.00

These two models maximise the internal height. The 6.9 model provides good capacity for high production. The 5.3 model is narrower and is similar to the dimensions of the Octagon 5 model.

Mate  5.1 - $4,358.50    &    4.0 - $3,823.75

These models represent the middle range size of  Cobcraft Mate kilns. They form the squat versions of  the Mate 6.9 and 5.3 models. The popular 5.1 kiln provides for good loading capacity by virtue of the large width, that allows for multiple loading of plates per shelf, while keeping the power input low for running on single phase.
The Mate 4.0 model is ideal for the hobby potter with a volume of work that makes the idea

of firing your own work attractive.
Both models are ideal for storing the kiln under a bench when not being used.

Mate  1.0 - $2,587.50    &    2.0$3,358.00

The smaller kilns of the Mate range are the Mate 2.0 and Mate 1.0 models.

The dimensions are ideal for the small user. The Mate 1.0 model has the same width but just half the height of the Mate 2.0 model. The Mate 2.0 kiln is mounted on castors for easy care in multi-use premises such as garden shed or garage.

The Mate 1.0 kiln is provided with a stand for use on a bench or providing a better working height when placed on the floor. The Mate 1.0 kiln can either be purchased for use with or without a controller. This can reduce the price if fitted just with a temperature indicator.

Mate Range        Mate 6.9 & 5.3              Mate 5.1 & 4.0             Mate 2.0 & 1.0

The Mate kiln is not as insulating as the Cobcraft range but compensates by cooling quicker which would be of assistance for those people looking to recycle their kiln on a daily basis. Less dust with brick construction is attractive to glass workers.

Apart from the 1 cubic foot model which comes with a stand, all other models of the Mate range are mounted on castors for ease of locating and for the hobby craft people, they can be advantageous when storing the kiln in multi-use premises.
